Rich- Also- Cry: Grandson Of Former Kenyan President Evicted Over Failure To Pay Rent

Collins Kibet, a grandson of Daniel arap Moi, former Kenyan president, has been evicted from his house over unpaid rent that has accumulated to more than $2,100 (£1,550 or about N1.2 million) in six months.

It comes amid a court case as Mr Moi’s relatives battle over the management of the family estate.

Collins Kibet, 45, told a court that he was broke and unable to pay his rent or provide for his family, adding that he was evicted last week.

He accused his relatives including his stepmother – who are administrators of his father’s estate – of excluding him from inheriting his father’s wealth.

Mr Kibet’s father Jonathan Toroitich, Mr Moi’s son, died in 2019 without leaving a will. The family’s wealth is estimated to be vast.

Mr Kibet wants the court to bar his step-mother and step-brother from acting as administrators and to be included as a beneficiary of the family estate.

Mr Moi was Kenya’s longest-serving president. He was in office for 24 years, until intense pressure forced him to step down in 2002.

Warning From Father Mbaka To Nigerians Govt, DSS, Speaks On Another Northern President

Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has warned the Nigerian government and the DSS that Nigeria will collapse if two things happen.

He said if anything happens to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu while in DSS custody, Nigeria will collapse.

He said Nnamdi Kanu’s agitation for Biafra is as a result of bad governance.

He added that those in power should be the ones in custody because of bad leadership.

He also said that Nigeira will collapse if a northerner is made the next president of the country.

Speaking during a sermon at the adoration ground in Enugu State, Mbaka said: “The issue of after Buhari, the North should lead again, President Buhari should better plan well and hand over to the South, but if the north wants to take over, this country will collapse.

“There may be no Nigeria again if the President, because of whatever, tries to hand over power back to the north. After Buhari, the Northerners should forget about leadership in this coming political era.

If they try to make a northerner next President, disaster will happen, going forward will be impossible, going back will be a dream. Anyhow they want to do the political maneuvering, they should make sure that justice prevails.”

He added: “The spirit of the Lord has asked me to say this because they have what it takes to plant a northerner. Buhari should remember that Nigerians trusted him when he came in and he should remember that one day, he is leaving that place.”

I Don’t Care If PDP Is Zoing, I’ll Contest For President Come 2023 – Former Senate President, Pius Ayim

One time Senate President of Nigeria, Anyim Pius Anyim has revealed he will be contesting for presidency in 2023 irrespective of whether the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) zones the ticket to the South-East.

Mr Anyim said in a recent chat with news men that “Posters of my presidential bid and agitations by groups for me to contest flooded the social media in 2020 and I disassociated myself from such calls.

“I felt that it was too early for such a declaration, to enable the present administration concentrate on governance.

“Such calls resurfaced in the early part of 2021 and I chose to be quiet over the issue.

“We currently have less than 18 months to the next elections, and I feel the time is ripe to indicate my interest,” Mr Anyim said.

He said that the zoning committee instituted by the party was only saddled with zoning party positions and not other positions.

“Zoning of such positions was deferred but nothing stops anyone from South-East Zone from contesting the presidency even if it is not zoned to it,” he said.

The former Secretary to the Government of the Federation noted that the party’s national convention would signal the commencement of its political activities.

“The most important thing is that the party’s national convention is a sort of rebirth for a group of people who have recovered from a setback,” he added.

Mr Anyim said that in spite of the party’s seeming conflict with its former Chairman Uche Secondus, he remained a friend to many members.

“He is particularly my friend and we do not have any problem with him. The issue is that the party needed to move but be assured that he is not going into wilderness,” Mr Anyim said.

Am Not What People Calls Me, No One Can Accuse Me Of Corruption – President Buhari Boast

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he has kept himself free of corrupt acquisitions, hence no one can accuse him of corruption.

Mr Buhari made this assertion at a town hall meeting with leaders of the South-East region during his visit to Imo state on Thursday, September 9, 2021

The president made the claim despite reports of corruption by his aides and close associates, who remain unconvicted.

The president also touched on other issues pertinent to the Igbos.

Read the full statement here:

I WANT TO BE REMEMBERED AS A PRESIDENT WHO STABILISED NIGERIA, PRESIDENT BUHARI TELLS SOUTH EAST LEADERS

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday in Owerri said that he would want to be remembered as the President who stabilised Nigeria in the area of security, economic prosperity and triumph over corruption.

The President, who spoke at a town hall meeting with South East leaders during his one-day official visit to Imo State, said with less than two years left in his eight-year tenure as President, security still remains a major priority for his administration.

‘‘If there is no security, there is nothing anyone can do no matter how much you try or the initiative you have.

‘‘Security is number one priority and then the economy. When people feel secure they will mind their own business,’’ he said.

The President told South-East leaders that while fighting corruption in Nigeria had become very sophisticated and difficult, he would continue to strive to leave a lasting legacy of integrity and accountability in the system.

‘‘Nobody can accuse me of having companies or mansions anywhere in the country and I thank God that I try to keep myself as clean as possible, so that I cannot be taken hostage.

‘‘I will do my best to ensure that Nigerians that try hard, succeed in their efforts,’’ he said.

On the forthcoming 2023 elections, the President reaffirmed his commitment to free, fair and credible polls, urging the leaders to honestly educate their constituencies on the need to hold their elected representatives accountable.

Acknowledging the resourcefulness and enterprising spirit of Igbo people, the President said:

‘‘The fundamental thing about the Igbo people is that there is no town you will visit in Nigeria without seeing the Igbos being in-charge of either infrastructure or pharmaceutical industry.

‘‘Therefore, it is unthinkable for me that any Igbo man would consider himself not to be a part of Nigeria.

‘‘The evidence is there for everyone to see that Igbos are in charge of Nigeria’s economy.’’

Noting that no country can make any meaningful progress without the development of infrastructure, the President expressed regret that successive governments at the Federal level contributed to the decay of critical infrastructure in the country.

He promised that the Federal Government would complete ongoing key projects in the South East, including the 2nd Niger Bridge as well as the railway lines and routes linking the region with other parts of the country.

‘‘I firmly believe that when you get infrastructure right, Nigerians will mind their own businesses,’’ he said, adding that as a group, the Igbos stand to benefit more from the ongoing development of infrastructure in the country because ‘‘they are more enterprising.’’

President Buhari had earlier commissioned four projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodinma, including the Naze/Ihiagwa/Nekede/Obinze link road, the Balloon Driven/Flood Control drainage at Dick Tiger Road, the Egbeada Bypass road and the New Exco-Chambers, Government House, Owerri.

Addressing Imo residents at the commissioning of Egbeada bypass named after a prominent son of the State, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, the President said he was very impressed with the level of work done by the State government.

‘‘I am very pleased with what I have seen and I assure you that I will support Imo State within the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,’’ he said.

In his remarks at the town hall meeting, Governor Uzodinma said Ndigbo believe in a united Nigeria predicated on ‘‘justice, equity and fairness.’’

He thanked the President for addressing the interests of Ndi Igbo through deliberate policy initiatives designed to give the people a true sense of belonging, including the ongoing construction of the 2nd Niger Bridge, among others.

Governor Uzodinma said the people of South East would remain grateful to the President for approving the establishment of a Naval Base in Oguta Local Government Area of the State, adding that as time unfolds, the economic benefits of the base would manifest.

The Governor also commended the President for strongly supporting the appointment of two prominent Igbos into two key international organisations-Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, Assistant Director-General of Health Emergency Intelligence, World Health Organisation (WHO).

In his remarks, the President-General, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Prof. George Obiozor assured the President of the continuous support of Ndigbo.

‘‘Ndigbo are committed to Nigerian unity and there is news for those trying to push us out of Nigeria.

‘‘Ndigbo in Nigeria are like fish in the ocean and no matter how rough the storm is, it cannot drive the fish out of the ocean.

‘‘Mr President, it is in this context, that we see a new dawn in your distinguished presence in Igbo land and believe that on your return to Abuja the significance and substance of this visit will form new foundation of a platform for meaningful dialogue on critical issues of concern to the Igbo nation,’’ he said

I Have Phone Numbers Of 13 Presidents – Davido Reveals

As an artiste , you would know you have ‘arrived’ if you have good relationship with the President of your country , but when you know 13 presidents from around the world , then you know that you are on another level .

No doubt music star, Davido , is one of the most influential and sought- after artistes on the continent but things were not always rosy for him . During a chat with MTV Base, the leader of the 30 billion gang said that his father was not happy with his career path till he had to prove his worth .

However, he claimed that now , he had reached a level where he could converse with at least 13 presidents .

“ When I released the song ‘ Back then’ , I did not know that it was going to be that big . Then I went back to school and the love that I was shown was overwhelming , let alone the way girls began to treat me . That one song with the video made my father realise that I had the talent. And then, I did the song, ‘ Dami Duro’.

“ The song became so big and I remember that the President at the time called my father to talk about me and the song. Even during my father ’ s business meetings with his friends , they would mention my name and the song. Before long , I started travelling and doing shows around the world . Now I have the numbers of about 13 presidents on my phone and if I call them , they would answer the call . Then the award came and it set me on another level . ”.
