Dancer and choreographer, Kaffy has revealed that she still has something against DMW boss Davido after her 2016 Instagram rant .

Recall In 2016 , Kaffy had called out Davido after he reportedly shunned some dancers at a concert .

In an interview with Punch , the dancer said she did not apologize to the ‘Aye’ Conner for calling him a motherf *cker , rather the apology was for using a swear word in public.

She said ,
I did not eat my words , I swore in public and I apologised for swearing in public , I did not apologise to David . I did not apologise for his behaviour but for the words I used in public .

If it is not because of the kind of brand that I am building, I still want to call him that name if I had the chance . Whatever it is , he has apologised . I did not need to make the apology public . He has apologised and has started treating dancers better which is the most important thing for me .

Earlier in the week, dance queen Kaffy called out HKN front man Davido for allegedly disrespecting dancers, and always urge Davido's manage to speak about it, now in a recent interview with Saturday Beats, Davido’s manager, Kamal Ajiboye said dance queen Kaffy was just seeking for attention.

Kamal who talked about the singer’s issues with Kaffy also said his camp won’t give her the attention.

According to Kamal, “I am not aware of any problem between Davido and Kaffy. Davido said that he didn’t need dancers for his performance and I don’t see how that is a problem. We saw what she posted online but we chose to ignore it because we are too busy to comment on such. Davido does not have any particular dancer that he works with. During the particular show, while he was about to perform, the organisers wanted to include dancers with his performance and he declined because the stage would not be big enough for him and the dancers to perform. I don’t know how that should be anybody’s problem..
“During a show that he had at Eko Hotel, he had about 30 dancers on stage with him. If he does not have regard for dancers, would he have employed their services? People just like to seek for attention and we would not give it to them. The only thing I can think of is that she is just seeking for attention. I mean they wanted to put dancers on his stage and all Davido said was that he did not want. How is that anyone’s problem? I think you should call Kaffy and ask if she has any problem with Davido .”

Prolific dancer Kaffy Ameh is spitting fire on Instagram; the dance queen is literally done ignoring how dancers are disrespected by their counterparts in the music industry.

In her Instagram rant yesterday, the 36-year-old Magneto Dance Company CEO named Davido as one of the stars who continually disrespects dancers. According to Kaffy, Davido employed the services of her company but at the last minute, shoved them aside like they were nothing.

“It’s alright if artistes don’t need us. We are artistes ourselves. It is very disrespectful for you to look down at and trample on people who in one way or the other contribute to where u are today, ” she began.
Adding, “ This message is for those of you that disrespectfully disregard us dancers especially @davidoofficial . If u don’t want dancers express it way before U agree to allow them dance than when u about to climb the stage u decide u don’t need us again. Or tell dancers not to come near u while u perform .wtf. ”

Many times, we have reviewed concerts where our singers lipsync, and their performance are so lukewarm they need a hypeman to hum and bounce around the stage – valiant attempts at infusing life into shows that are generally cringe-worthy.

“Nowadays artistes take a piss. People pay a lot of money to see u come out and give a good show it requires more than u jumping all over the place with no content, ” said Kaffy who choreographed dances for international stars including for award winning-singer, Ciara .

And many people agree with Kaffy.

Beyonce’s concerts are powerful because of her dancers, and she deeply respects and values them. Other singers who depend heavily on same skillful professionals to deliver exceptional performances include icons like Madonna, Britney Spears, and even Usher and Chris Brown.

At home we have the likes of D’banj, Flavour and Tiwa Savage mining the creative force of the dance industry to stun fans at their concerts.
But how long before the Nigerian creative industry fully acknowledges the force dancers wield?
