Tanker Explosion Kills Four, Injures Three In Delta State

Four people lost their lives, and three others were injured in a tanker explosion in Agbor, Delta State, on Sunday, January 5. The diesel-laden tanker reportedly had brake failure and overturned at a traffic light junction, causing a fire that destroyed vehicles and houses.


Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, expressed deep sadness over the incident, offering condolences to the families of the victims and praying for the recovery of the injured.


In a statement, the governor instructed the State Ministry of Health and the Emergency Management Agency to provide immediate help to those affected. He also praised the Fire Service, local residents, and security agencies for their quick response to the tragedy.

Tragic! Lady Allegedly Beheaded By Suspected Ritualist Hotel Room In Delta State

 

A socialite identified as Miss Adegor Rukevwe Sophia has passed away. According to reports, she was found de@d in Palms Hotel Resorts, Ozoro, Delta State on Tuesday, April 12.

It is reported that her headless corpse was found in the hotel room and the incident reported to the police, The hotel manager who reported the incident alongside the workers who were on duty have been arrested while the deceased’s corpse has been moved to the morgue.

Dowen College: ”We Must Pursue This Case To The End – Delta Governor Intervenes

 



Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, who is the governor of deceased Dowen student, Sylvester Oromoni’s homestate, has reacted to the tragic death of the student who would have turned 12 today December 4.

In a statement released on social media today, Governor Okowa said he spoke with Sylvester’s father last night. He said as a government that places priority on the lives of its citizens, the government will ensure they pursue the case to the end.

”Last night, I spoke to Mr. Sylvester Oromoni, the father of late Sylvester Oromoni Jr., the Dowen College student who unfortunately died under very controversial and unclear circumstances.

During the call, I expressed my agreement with the decision of the Lagos State government to launch an investigation into the death of Sylvester, a native of Warri South LGA in Delta State.

As a government that places priority on the lives of our citizens within and outside the state, we are determined to pursue this case to the end. The matter must be investigated, perpetrators apprehended, punished, and made an example of, to serve as a very strong deterrence against future occurrences.

As we continue to watch this case closely, we extend our prayers and support to the Oromoni family. As they mourn the loss of their young son, I pray that Almighty God gives them the strength that they need at this difficult time. Amen”

Delta State : Suspected Fraudster Caught With Faeces Was Forced To Eat It (Photo)





A suspected fraudster got more than he bargained for after being caught with faeces in Okpanam, Delta state. 

The man who came into the Delta community from Anambra state was forced to eat the faeces after being caught with it by some vigilante members. When interrogated by residents of the community, he affirmed that he needed the faeces for a money ritual purpose.

Woman Orders Thugs To Beat Up Her Security Man For Asking For His Salary


A Delta state-based woman has been accused of ordering thugs to beat up her gateman, John, after he requested for his salary in Asaba, Delta state.

Activist, Prince Gwamnishu Harrison who runs the Behind Bars Initiative, shared the story online on Friday morning. Gwamnishu added that all those idnicted in the case would be arrested as the matter has been reported to the police.
''For asking for his salary, Madam ordered his thugs to brutalise gate Man in Asaba, Delta State.

Mother and Son Killed By Suspected Pirates In Delta State


Suspected pirates shot dead a woman and her son at a fishing camp along Ekologbene creek of Ayakoromo community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State on Monday night.

Hoodlums reportedly snuck into the fishing camp on that fateful night to attack sleeping residents. The deceased was one of those whose houses were invaded and the hoodlums began to harass the mother.

Upset with the way his mother was being treated, the son confronted the hoodlums and a fight broke out, leading to them getting shot. The body of the victims identified as Mrs. Anetorofa Morkor and her son, Doutimi Asaba, were brought to the community in a speed boat.

Sources at the community told Vanguard that the hoodlums invaded the camp in an attempt to rob the fishermen and women, but ended up killing the victims following a brawl with one of them. Giving details of the incident, one of those fishing at the camp said that the hoodlums came into the camp and pointed a gun at her head while shouting for her to hand over her possessions.

She said: "While I was being frisked, others went to an adjourning house where the victims were sleeping. Angered by the way his mother was being manhandled, the son engaged the hoodlums in a brawl, which resulted to both of them being shot.”

An indigene of the community, Lokiri Preye, said: "When the news filtered into the community that hoodlums were attacking a fishing camp, the community mobilised to the camp only to discover the remains of both victims."
