Couple, 6 Others For Allegedly Killing, Selling Lady’s Parts In Ogun

The Police Command in Ogun says it has arrested a couple and six others for allegedly killing and dismembering a 26-year-old mother of two, Oyindamola Adeyemi.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday.

Oyeyemi said that the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, following a report lodged at Obalende divisional headquarters in Ijebu-Ode by one Ojo Omolara.

He said that the complainant reported that adeyemi, her neighbour, left home in the morning of Dec. 28 and did not return home, while her phone was switched off.

Oyeyemi said that the police advised the complainant to come back since it was not yet up to 24 hours.

He said that the next day, a patrol team from Obalende division saw a dismembered body of a lady by the road side, which was subsequently taken to a mortuary.

“Fortunately, the mortuary is a stone throw from the house of the deceased and one of the mortuary workers, who knew about the missing person, called the attention of the deceased’s family to come and have a look at the body brought by the police.

“On getting there, the deceased’s friend, Ojo Omolara was able to identify it through the underwears she put on since her head had already been chopped off.

“Having recognised the body, the DPO, Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami, mobilised his crack detectives and embarked on a technical and intelligence-based investigation, which led them to a herbalist in whose possession the deceased’s Itel phone was recovered.

“He was promptly arrested and a search warrant duly executed in his house, where a container full of human blood, later discovered to be that of the deceased, was recovered.

“His arrest led to the apprehension of another suspect, whose house the legs of the deceased were also recovered.

“They both made confessional statements, which led to the arrest of other suspects who are buyers of different parts of the deceased’s body,” he said.

The police spokesman said that during the interrogation, the suspects confessed that the deceased was lured to the house of the herbalist who happened to be her lover.

Quoting the suspects, he said that as soon as the victim entered, she was pinned down by two of the suspects before she was subsequently strangled.

“After killing her, they (suspects) cut off her head, legs and the two hands which they sold to their standby buyers, to be used for money making rituals,” he further stated.

Oyeyemi quoted the suspects as saying that the victim’s legs and heart were sold for N30,000 and N50,000 respectively to the buyer, who, he said, was still at large.

He said that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered immediate transfer of the suspects to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigations Departments (SCID) for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution

Even With The Way Bandits Are Killing Northerners, They Are Happy Buhari Is In Power – Former Governor, Sule Lamido

Former  Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa says northerners are happy with the APC regime despite wanton violence ravaging the North because President Muhammadu Buhari is one of their own.

“We see Nigeria as at my own time, ‘our own son’, ‘our own tribe and whatever he does’… I mean, people in the North are dying every day. We are not safe or secure,” Mr Lamido said in an interview with Channels TV on Sunday night.

“You can’t even travel from Abuja to Kaduna and feel safe, and just because he is our own son, we are happy. When we are dying, we are happy because Buhari is our own son.”

When asked for his views on Boko Haram and bandits ravaging the North-East and North-West respectively, Mr Lamido, who has a pending case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), blamed increased insecurity on political leaders’ insincerity.

“It is this culture of telling lies to citizens during elections. When you raise their hope, by the time you come to government and fail to fulfil their needs, of course, you are going to be in trouble,” the ex-governor explained. “So these are some of the policy consequences of telling lies in campaigns. Leaders are not honest, sincere, and there is nothing called justice.”

Bandits have ravaged the North-West, kidnapping and killing several people, forcing schools to close many weeks.

Mr Buhari’s home state, Katsina, is one of the most ravaged northern parts by bandits and frustrated by the continued kidnapping and killing, Governor Aminu Masari in July called on residents to defend themselves.

Mr Masari advised the state’s residents and other Nigerians to fight bandits with their teeth and not wait for Mr Buhari’s regime to protect them.

“It is important for you to fight your enemy, even with your teeth bite him. Where are the warriors? I don’t understand our people these days. What they should be doing is not what they are doing,” Mr Masari said in the Hausa language.

He added, “You are waiting for brigadier somewhere to come, or soldiers and policemen or even fighting (sic) jet, is it not possible, they will do their work, but we need to join hands together.”

Photo Man Of Man Who Brutally Stabs Mother Of His One-month-Old Baby To Death For Refusing Him Sex Because She Was Breastfeeding

A 26-year-old man allegedly killed the mother of his one-month-old baby boy for refusing him sex in Midrand, South Africa.

The man, said to be originally from the Eastern Cape, allegedly stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend, Isabella Dease repeatedly, leaving her body in an open veld in President Park outside Ivory Park, Midrand.

The horrific murder happened on Saturday, 14 days before the start of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.

Charles Dease, the grieving father Isabella (inset) said he wishes a death sentence could be imposed on the man who killed his daughter.

"He deserves a death sentence. It was painful nd traumatic when I saw the bloodied body of my girl."

He said his daughter had been stabbed several times in the neck, but a police source said her throat had been slit with a kitchen knife.

According to police sources, the man made two statements to the police, in one of the statements confessing to killing his girlfriend.

A source said the man had called the police to report that his girlfriend had been killed by two unknown men driving in a black BMW sedan.

"He said to the police that he left the house with his girlfriend to buy baby clothes in Midrand. He claimed they were accosted by a black BMW with two occupants.

"He said the passenger started to have a conversation with the girlfriend and it appeared the passenger and the mother of his child were acquaintances."
The source said the man claimed the two men made a U-turn near Grand Central Airport and took them to a secluded area where he was pointed at with a firearm while the occupant dragged his girlfriend out of the car and stabbed her to death.

However, further investigation revealed the statement made to the police was false.

Another source said after hours of interrogation, the man confessed to killing his girlfriend for refusing to have sex with him since she was breastfeeding the infant.

"He confessed and he later showed the police a knife he used to kill her and also his blood-stained clothes. After killing her he rushed to Ivory Park where he changed his black shoes and wore brown ones. We are also trying to find two missing phones of the woman."

Dease described his daughter as a calm person, very quiet and introverted. He said his daughter studied tourism at Ekurhuleni West College, adding that the family would take care of her child.

On Sunday,  family and community members gathered in a corrugated shack to offer prayers. Several family members frantically fought back tears.

Midrand police spokesman Warrant Officer Mmakgomo Semono confirmed a man had been arrested and charged with the murder of his girlfriend.

"The man had earlier given police different stories as to what happened. He will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court today."

According to the family, Dease is expected to be buried at GaMatlala village in Limpopo on Saturday.
